Do you think the Government uses 9-11 as a fear tactic.?

I have heard people say that the government/politics use the media to bring up 9-11 to keep us Angry and fearful. Just after Barack Obama’s election, Rahm Emanuel, his chief of staff, made this memorable statement to an interviewer: “You never want a serious crisis to go to waste.” Are we really over there trying to take out the Taliban or are we after the natural resources? Sure Obama brought back troops from Iraq and then stuck them over in Afghanistan to fight an Enemy that cannot be defeated. Well maybe they can be defeated but it would take a lot of bombs and a lot of innocent people would die but we will justify the killing of innocence if they keep us scared right?
