So what’s behind the *food and commodity* price spike?

Many things contribute to the increase but as far as I can figure is the use of corn for ethanol. The price of corn and soybeans goes up because of the supply and demand for food products for animal(beef, chicken, milk) and human consumption competes for fuel use.Gas increase is another reason both for producing and shipping food. By the way, corn for fuel is subsidized by your taxes so you are paying more hidden charges for your food. Farmers have dealt with climate change since the beginning of time.Better to teach kids in school how to grow their own food and forget the nonsense of those stupid twirly light bulbs that pollute the dumps with mercury.
